SO MUCH TO KEEP TRACK OF! Here are ways to keep track of everything in a uniform fashion so that no one has to de-code your websites or forum record ledgers to understand what's going on.

The Picco Forum's Player Records

On the Picco Forum, where 99% of our game play will take place, there is a board called Player Records. There's just a few things I want to point out, like the rules of using this board. To keep everything neat & tidy so that it'll be easy to navigate these boards and get the information one is seeking, please do not post any extra posts on this board! Any form of conversation should be left to the General Discussion type boards. Just one thread per player is all that needs to be on the Player Records board and really there only needs to be one post per thread as well, but you can post notes to yourself on your thread. Please do not reply to anyone else's thread.

Please keep your thread neat and tidy, very easy to follow. When first posting your thread please post the following form into your thread to keep everything uniform (and then edit and fill it out), and title your thread the name of your castle.

You should update this as often and as soon as any of the information on it changes. Please keep it neat, easy to follow and informative. At the beginning of every month you are able to choose which dragons will be active and which inactive for that month, to keep account of this please post which dragons were active and which inactive for every month you've been playing as well as updating the number of dragons area of the form to be accurate for the current month. Continue to update your Precious Gems and Dragon Fortune ledgers as you play make sure to not only put in + and - your amounts but also where they went or who you got them from.

Your Dragon's Comeptition Records

A big part of this game is competing your dragons, whether it be in pre-battle and trial events or the Battle Dome event itself. You must keep close track of your dragons' event records. Personally, I like to keep track of the events I've hosted in my forum records and which dragons won and placed in them. On each of my dragon's individual information webpages I keep track of all their information. For the event history of my dragon I like to use a table that shows all the different sections of the BattleDome that hosts of pregame events can rent, I also leave a spot for the actual BattleDome events themselves. Then I have columns of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and finally, how many events Entered. In a separate table I keep track of how many Competition & Experience points my dragon has earned and what level my dragon is at because of those points.

Dragons who are at a higher level at competing will have a higher chance at winning a competition. Currently there are 30 possible levels a dragon can acheive. To gain a level, a dragon must earn 5 competition points or 10 experience points. Another good thing about earning levels with your dragons is that you can earn more dragon fortune! So how do you earn Competition Points? Every event you get FIRST place in gives you 3 points, evey event you get second place in gives you 2 points and every event your get third place in gives you 1 point. Now, to earn Experience Points enter as many events as possible (especially Trial Events) and for every 5 events you've entered you receive 3 Experience Points. For every event you place in (1st-3rd or 4th) you get an additional Experience Point. So if you enter alot of events and place in a lot of events, your dragon's points will rack up quite quickly. Make sure to keep close account of the events your dragon has entered and placed in.

Higher levelled dragons will have a better chance at winning Battle Dome events! Because of their, their level information will need to be supplied in detail when entering a BattleDome event... so keep a close account on your dragon's competition records!

Your Dragon's Information

Each dragon needs his or her own webpage on your website with a collection of all their information on it. Simple things like their name, bond-god, gender, active/inactive/retired/, hatching date, dragon-type, etc... to their pedigree, competition records and levels in training (including their Experience Points & Competition Points). A good way of doing this would be to have separate tables for all their different kinds of information, like their offspring, their 2 or 3 generation pedigree (or further back), their basic stats, their competition records and so on. You MUST keep track of their competition records and their Experience Levels!
A Dragon Info Page Example. You'll also need their picture, stat card, and previous stages posted on their webpage along with the name of the keep they live in and maybe even a dragon owner record. You can look at pixel pony stat pages for reference if you like, but keep in mind dragon pages will be slightly different. You also need to keep track of which ones you had active which months and how many you own on your Records Thread on the Piccolo Forum.

Precious Gems / Finances

Precious Gems are our currency they are also known as pg. You use these to buy dragons, breed dragons, enter events, host events, build castles and other such things. You need to keepclose track of how many you have and how you spend them, to help you know where everything is going and to help the moderators and administrator keep track of everything and make sure everyone is playing fair. You only need to post your finances on your Records thread at the Picco Forum but if you'd like to keep account of them on your website as well, feel free to do so... but PLEASE keep them up-to-date. Make sure to keep track of what they were used for who you got them from, gave them to, and what date it was when this all took place.

Dragon Fortune / Brownie Points

Dragon Fortune is like Brownie Points ...or Karma, if you like. Only if you are a paid member can you use Dragon Fortune. For every ten event points your dragon wins he or she goes up a level, you can earn df or Dragon Fortune for levelling your dragons, when you dragon reaches level 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 you will earn more dragon fortune. You can also earn dragon fortune through other ways like winning Battles in the BattleDome, hosting very successful PreGame events, buying it (Tlouey now has paypal!), good sportsmanship, proper breeding, winning player awards and other ways as well! Dragon fortune can buy you good luck, fortune or karma in many different areas of your gaming life. Keeping track of your Dragon Fortune is much like keeping track of your Precious Gems but make sure to record who awarded the dragon fortune to you (by), only certain mods and the administrator can give out dragon fortune.

Before you breed your dragons you can buy a bond or gender scale tip or a physical or power stat breeding boost with your dragon fortune. The Scale Tips pretty much just put an extra "name in the hat". So if you pay so much for a bond god scale tip potion you can put a second name in the hat of a dragon deity godess or god to tip the scales towards that bond god and make it more likely that a particular diety will bond with the resulting dragon. For the Physical and Power stat breeding boosts this just boost the power or natural / physical stat of one of the dragons you're breeding so that your resulting dragon may have a chance to inherit a higher stat than they originally might have inherited. Piety and Resistance boosts would be best to boost just before entering a dragon in a battle. A dragon's Resistance plays against his or her opponent's Powers and Piety.... a dragon's resistance allows them to 'resist' against the other dragon's attacks (like a shield). A dragon's Piety ups the impact of their Powers on their opponent. Their ability can be from 100 to maybe even in the thousands depending on the dragon.

To buy something with your dragon fortune... check out the Wizard's Shop in the village! The wizard will trade his magic potions for your good karma / dragon fortune.
