the game Dragon Deities are the latest critters of the Interactive Pixels games concept. The original were Pixel Ponies, which were originally taken from Misty's Minis, a section of Misty's Cyber Adoptions. These Minis were Pixel drawn in MS Paint and were available for Click-n-Takes adoption. There was everything from dolphins, to bears, to giraffes up for grabs; but the msot popular were the elemental ponies. A few years later Tlouey (Misty) decided to redo the outlines of her elemental ponies and offer them as pixel ponies at the Crystal Palace. These 'Pixel Dragons' are created souly for gameplay like that of their cousins, the Pixel Ponies. Much like Pixel Ponies, Dragon Deities are created to be competed, shown, bred and kept. Dragons can be bred to fight or for beauty, they can be bred to race or to do specific tasks that humans alone can not do. These dragons are cyberpets, special cyberpets, that are interactive and can 'reproduce'. They come in stages, are pixel drawn and can be played in the Dragon Deities Game through their Stat or Battle Cards. Because of a lack of funds and the fact that Tlouey still is the owner of her soul... Dragon Deities does not operate on its own game interface. Therefore to be interactive, Dragon Deities is a forum based game. This website functions as the 'compendium' of all the information involved with the game play; with listings of the current players, references, and most anything you'll need to know from how to join the game to all sorts of details on the DD dragons themselves, instructions on how to host and/or enter events and so on. When a player first starts the game through a novice account they are given 1 free dragon egg that will soon hatch. One of the Dragon Deities (from which the game and dragons get their name) will end up bonding with the dragon developing inside of that egg and the next life stage will be a life force icon that shows which god or dragon deity the hatchling is bonded to. When you name your dragon the name must start with the same letter as the dragon's bond god ... Lanthir, Ekar, Keahi, Milanna, and Gwae are the names of the Dragon Deities. Soon your dragon will grow to its final stage and this stage will be sent to you along with your dragon's BattleCard / Stat Card. Your dragon's natural stats will be displayed on his or her battle card. Your dragon's battle card will be sent to you with your dragon's final stage. These natural stats are like a genetic code except you get to see them expressed instead of in their code form. When breeding dragons, you want to look at their battle cards as these are their natural stats... the ones that will be inherited by their baby. Also on the battle card are the dragon's natural born powers as well... their powers can be altered through the use of Resistance and Piety boosts that you can exchange Dragon Fortune for. Through experience your dragon will move through levels 0 - 20... a dragon is born at level 0 and it is up to his or her owner to put them in events before battle season to boost their levels. A dragon at level 12 will have the advantage over a dragon at level 7 in the battledome, as well as a SLIGHT advantage over another dragon within prebattle events. For every so many events a dragon wins in they will gain a level. As a dragon passes through his or her levels, you, their owner, will receive special Dragon Fortune bonuses for every level milestone your dragon hits. Our 'economy' is based on Precious Jems which you'll need for entering events and for buying new dragons for buying land/keeps to house your dragons or paying stud fees and whatever else. If you purchase a starter package you will receive a certain amount of Precious Jems to get you started within the game, along with a few dragon eggs that will soon hatch and other fun things. I guess you could say that the object of the game is to own the greatest dragon of his or her kind through different means like breeding for better genetics/stats and upping dragon's powers through Dragon Fortune boosts and finally having the best eventing and battle score records for your dragon and your dragon's offspring. This game is not really about how many dragons your own as much as how involved you are with the dragons that you do own. Having a few dragons with high stats and levels as well as good show and battle records may be much more benefitial than having many dragons that aren't as well statted and levelled. |
